WES Construction needed a new, modern site that allowed them to maintain it themselves over time. They opted to keep the site really clean by showing only a few projects in each category. As more projects finish up, they’ll be able to easily add them to the site. Metropolis used large images to show the quality of their work, and carefully used their bold red to highlight the important messages and CTAs throughout the site.
Mike and the Metropolis team were a pleasure to work with. They take the time to guide you through the creative process making the website redesign experience both easy and enjoyable. Even after the new website was live, Mike is always willing to go above and beyond to assist in any way possible. From start to finish Metropolis exceeded our expectations.
Engaging Design
The website design drives user engagement with careful attention paid to the use of color, whitespace, and movement. Featured projects on the home page are highlighted in an interactive carousel. Services are shown in another carousel. These carousels allow the client to add future projects or services without impacting the home page design.
Project Filtering
Projects are filterable by category and location. This system can easily grow with WES Construction as they collect new project photos and information. The design uses large imagery to highlight the quality of their work. Custom icons, and bulleted project details make the projects quick and easy to read.
Every website design starts with a set of wireframes to help us better understand what content is needed on each page. A good page design should tell a story in the right order. Size and position help set the hierarchy of how the content will be consumed. The bulk of the site’s structure happens in these blueprints before we move on to the color design mockups.
The Results
The revamped WES Construction website boasts a striking design that effectively showcases its construction projects and individual service pages. Its professional aesthetic, complemented by occasional motion, ensures a delightful browsing experience for all users, regardless of their device. The WordPress block editor now makes it super-easy for the client to add future projects or new pages or update any of the content on their site.
