Serving their customers what they want.
By focusing on what restaurant-goers want, we build the entire website around Myers + Chang’s incredible menu. Reservations are the primary call-to-action, with online ordering a close second. The location page has a map that easily allows the client to add points of interest near them like the theater district. We paid special attention to the mobile design assuming that their audience is very likely on a phone when looking for a restaurant or placing an order.
Myers + Chang is a neighborhood restaurant doing their own thing with great ingredients and a lovely gathering of people. Just trying to do the simple things every day. Like being sweet to each other, saying “yes”, “welcome back”, and “thank you” as enthusiastically as they can. And they have great food.
An Interactive, Content-managed Menu System
No, not those menus! Myers + Chang’s food menus are extensive and change often, so restaurant staff needed the ability to change things around frequently and easily. Previously, they had to upload new PDFs every time a menu changed. Now, the entire menu system is easy to update in WordPress.
Online Gift Cards and Books
Built in WordPress using a WooCommerce integration, the web store allows the retaurant to sell cookbooks, gift cards, and other accessories. The custom product pages allow for descriptions, product variations like sizing, and related products. The store is easy to maintain by M+C staff and can accommodate many future products.
Restaurants Have Different Technical Requirements
We connected the site to external services including Resy for making reservations, Caviar for online delivery, Upserve to order for pickup, and Mailchimp for their email newsletter subscriptions.
The Results
Myers + Chang’s website stays up-to-date now that it’s extremely easy to update their menu and online store.
